Departmental Teaching Fellow for Quantitative Methods
Hi! My name is Tyler, and I'm a PhD student in the Gov. Department studying local politics and public policy in the United States, with a particular focus on education, housing, and policing. Before graduate school, I was the president of my local school board. I would love to advise students interested in working on state and local politics using quantitative or qualitative methods (or a combination of the two!). It can be particularly difficult to find suitable datasets when researching local politics, so in particular I'd be happy to help you find and / or create your own dataset(s) using methods like web scraping, interviews, experiments, and surveys. If you think that I would make a good fit and would like to talk, please feel free to reach out to me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
