Hello! I am a PhD student in the Department of Government at Harvard specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics. I research on the impact of migration and diasporas on international relations. In particular, I study the dialectical relationship between the policy preferences of diaspora communities and the foreign policy decisions of their home countries, with respect to ethnic lobbying, international cooperation, and diplomatic signaling, through a combination of survey experiments, field interviews, and case studies. Having lived in ten cities and on three continents, I also have a personal connection to my research topic. I have a BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley. From 2017 - 2019, I was a Clarendon Scholar at the University of Oxford and graduated with an MPhil in International Relations. Prior to starting my PhD, I also worked at United Nations in New York and as a research assistant at All Souls College, Oxford. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about your thesis, potential research ideas, and/or applying to graduate and professional programs!
