Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the gov department. My dissertation research focuses on the development and disparate impact of punishment systems in the United States, paying close attention to the role of anti-Black racism in law and policy development. I have other research projects focusing on the political life of incarcerated people and how community organizations respond to increased surveillance and social control. I have advised multiple senior theses and have taught GOV 99. Outside of Harvard, I teach high schoolers during the summer in the Mississippi Delta and have worked as a data analyst for voting rights cases in North Carolina. Please reach out if any of our interests align and you want to chat about ideas!
