Kaitlyn Chriswell
PhD Student in Government

My research focuses on various forms of political violence, including my current project on criminal organizations in Latin America. In addition to studying crime, I have previously conducted research on separatist organizations, terrorist groups, civil war, and state-building by non-state actors. I would be happy to advise students on any of these, or related, topics. I have utilized surveys, semi-structured interviews, and survey experiments in my own research, and would be happy to help students utilize these methods. I speak Spanish and Portuguese.
