Class of 2020 (Eliot House)
Hi! My name is Jessie Rodriguez. I am a Senior from Miami, Florida living in Eliot House. I have taken Government classes since my first semester on Harvard's campus and officially became a Peer Concentration Counselor in the Fall of Fall of 2018; my focus within the Government Department is in American Politics.
Outside of being a PCC, I am working towards a secondary in Psychology and a Spanish language Citation. I am also involved with a number of activities. Currently, I serve as the President of Harvard Model Congress Europe, am the Chair of Citizenship Tutoring at the Institute of Politics, and am Secretary of the Cuban-American Undergraduate Studies Association. In previous years on campus, I have also been a Peer Advising Fellow to first-year students as well as Vice-President of Finance of the Latinxs in Finance and Technology club.
My former internship experiences include being an intern at the U.S. House of Representatives, Human Rights Watch, and Kobre & Kim. I've also had the pleasure of completing winternships (winter internships) through the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at the Executive Commission for Victim Services in Mexico City and at Zubale in Mexico City as well.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions about the Government Department, any activities and programs I have been involved with, or anything at all! Navigating opportunities at Harvard can be a difficult undertaking with so many options and resources available. I'm here to help!
