Gwen Calais-Haase is a Ph.D. Candidate with an academic focus on American Politics, Congress, Legislative Procedure, and Representation. Her dissertation focuses on the role that congressional committee staffers play in the legislative process. She has advised one undergraduate thesis in the past and has been a TF for Gov 30 (Intro to American Politics), Gov 1300 (Congress), and Gov 1521 (Bureaucratic Politics). She received her B.A. from UCLA and worked in Congress and for the Center for American Progress before beginning her graduate studies.
