Concentration Adviser for Quincy House
Hi, I'm a PhD candidate in political theory with particular interests in contemporary political philosophy, democratic theory, black political thought and black feminist thought. My dissertation focusses on the political theory of the welfare state in the US and UK, using black political thought and feminist theory to reconsider our philosophies of social support provision. I am also interested in critical race theory, social movements and local politics more broadly and would be happy to advise a thesis on these topics. I speak French and German and am especially familiar with modern political theory (from the 19th century onwards) especially German Idealism, Marxist and Hegelian thought, as well as some Frankfurt school philosophy. I would be interested in advising projects on European political theory in these fields. I would also be happy to work on both historical and normative projects.
